zomg SNOW!!
It's snoooooooooooooowing!
Okay, "big deal"... I can hear a lot of you saying that. ^^; For Vancouver, this IS a "big deal". I don't remember when we've had snow, in the city, this EARLY before. Mountains, yes. City, no. Especially snow as it's falling right now! o.o;
When I heard 'snow in the forecast', I thought tiny, icy little flakes, in the higher elevations of the city, that'd likely not stick to the ground and/or be gone by next morning. Too early to tell about the morning bit, but... it's big, fat, fluffy flakes! And it's STICKING! Well, it's been cold enough, lately, for snow... and sure enough, we're getting it! *_*
It's pretty, yes. :D But for anyone that's driving... eek. ._.; As the narrator guy from 'Frosty the Snowman' said... "there's always something -magical- about the first snow of the season". :3 I like snow... looking at it as it falls... how pretty and tranquil it makes everything look... and yes, even playing in it a little. XD But... commuting in it? _ACK_. no. x.x
We'll see how long this'll last. ^^; Looks like it might be around for a while. Note to self: fish out my rubber boots, and my earmuffs (might not need my scarf 'till later).
In other news, found out my request for a raise was summarily dismissed. :/ "Can't afford it", apparantly. Business is slow, at the lockers, yes... we've had people leaving, but... Without getting into details, I can read the writing on the wall. -.- Time to start looking for a 'career change'. :p Perhaps this is a good thing, though. Maybe I'll try poking my nose around in the fields I actually WANT to work in. I've never been trained or schooled, really, in any of these fields, but... I'll see what sort of bites I'll get.

Yup, it's pretty neat to see the snow so early. For me it was a huge coincidence because I was ready to take a picture of a diorama I made and wanted the real stuff in the shot. Anyway, up on the hill where I live it's sticking to everything but the roads. Elsewhere, it's only about a centimetre thick right now. It's so pretty, I'm going to go on a walk to take it in while it lasts.
It's a bummer to be denied a raise in this area, especially when the cost of living has gone crazy like it has. It's so tough to get established these days.

Hope the photos turned out well. :D From the looks of things, the snow'll be staying around for a little while at least. ^.^
And tell me about it. @_x; I'm actually lucky, in terms of accomodations and all, but... oi. I don't even want to think of the possibilites. x.x

Sorry to hear that the raise fell through. Depending on the field you want to work in you might want to look into employment agencies. Sometimes they can be just the thing to get your foot in the door.

Hmm... that's something to keep in mind. Thanks. ^.^
