I have a nice, new, cobalt-blue Nintendo DS Lite, now. :3

Heh... first big gaming purchase in aaaaaaages. XD

(I'm gonna have to watch my budget for the next while. ^_^; )

Oooooh, what're you going to get for it?

I already have Chrono Trigger for it. ^_^; I'm thinking about getting FF3, FF4, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and the Lunar RPGs/games. Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days is coming out at some point -- that looks cool.

Maybe some of the Lego-Adventures? The Transfomers games? XD I might also buy some 'puzzle/brain' games, such as Brain Age, 1 vs 100??... and maybe even Crosswords, just to play when I'm totally bored or something. *lol* I don't really know... I'll browse and see what interests me.

Chrono Trigger is an awesome game.

And when it comes out, totally get Pokémon Platinum (or if you don't want to wait, Diamond/Pearl will suffice).

I LOVE Chrono Trigger. :3 Definately in my all-time faves.

I'll be honest and actually say I've never played a Pokemon game before. ^.^;; What will Pokemon Platinum be like?

Oh goodness. Well, it's like an expanded edition of Diamond/Pearl so the story there is pretty much the same. Although the story's pretty much the same in all the games (get suckered into being a trainer under the guise of doing field research, catch monsters, raise them to battle for badges, and in the meantime take on villians out for bizarre goals)...however the villians in this game have the most bizarre goal EVER and it kinda puts their leader (see icon) on par with a lot of Final Fantasy bad guys (except you never fight him personally, just his pokemon, which is kinda a shame because something about him tells me he'd be an incredible physical fighter, but that's the way the Pokemon world rolls).

Also there's added wifi games, you can trade with people all over the world (which DP has), you get an expanded plot with extra "bosses", and there's an added area that's all distorted and freaky looking.

.... ahhh... okay...? xD *lolconfused*

I'm generally not too interested in the whole capture/train/breed/battle sort of stuff. But hey, maybe I'll catch the bug? XD The CT DS game has some sort of version of that, though... Maybe I'll fiddle around with that, first... get a feel for that sort of gameplay. ^.^

LOL, I'm trying to raise my Smidge but I've no idea how. I basically just stock it with some stat booster and head to the according time frame and dick around for a while.

Welcome to the current gen!

Good games: Cooking Mama, Dinger likes the Transformers movie games, as for Puzzle games you can't go wrong with Puzzle Quest! :D

*snicker* Thanks. X3

heh... I dunno if I'd be able to PLAY Cooking Mama with a straight face. All I'll see is the crazy PETA game. *lol* Puzzle Quest looks interesting.

Trust me, you'll get over the PETA game really quick. Cooking Mama doesn't have ANYTHING like that where you dismember a bird corpse. About the only like thing from the PETA game Cooking Mama has is the cracking of the egg (There's no blood and feathers though) and mixing stuff together.

But yes, Puzzle Quest is good, it's a Puzzle RPG with a plot lol.

*lol* Well, it wasn't so much the concept, than the animation style... xD

I'll have to look into it, then.

LOL. It is the old DS model and it was bundled with Nintendogs: Best Friends. I got it for a Christmas present so I can't really complain.

I got my boyfriend a DS Lite for his birthday last year, he got black and red to go with his Autobot stickers lol.

I have black and I bought my friend a black one as a gift. XP

As for games, check out The World Ends with You. It's an unconventional RPG with very likable characters and a neat battle system (which is awkward at first but you'll get the hang of it...).

Yay for new VG purchases! *has been growing steadily geekier in anticipation of XBox 360 Weekend on his end*

I'm agreeing with the motion to get FFIV. If I end up getting a DS at some point, it'll largely be for that game. The VAs are pretty good, from what I've heard, and I'd love to see the new content in the game.
