Voice Over Workshop

When I explained about the VA workshop I went to a while back, a couple of you expressed interest in it. Well, Marcy's got a new workshop in the works, so I'm passing you all along the information here. :) I found it very enjoyable and tons of fun! :D

So long as you can make plans on being in Vancouver at the day of the workshop, you can attend. The time I went, we had a guy that came up from LA to be a part of this. :3 Space IS limited, however, so it's a sort of 'first come, first served' thing. The fee covers use of the studio space and equipment, the CD of your best performance, and the coaching/lecture/workshop in general.

That workshop sounds pretty cool. Did they give you feedback on what types of voices or characters you would be good at? Also, do they have a website with more information, such as the cost?

As we were working on the mics, they gave us feedback and instruction. They didn't -tell- us what "voices" we'd be good at, but challenged us to find our own 'voice' as well as push the boundaries a little, and see what we can do. I don't think they would tell you what "characters" you'd be good at, because that's actually quite limiting. They want you to experiment, see if you can follow direction, and do different readings.

They don't have a website, sadly... but if you give Marcy a call (the number provided), she'll answer whatever questions you have, I'm sure. ^_^
