Awesome day today.... simply AWESOME. *__*
It was a lovely day today, sunny, with clouds... but not overly cold, and thankfully, not raining. My mom has the week off, so today we went down to Concrete, WA, to see some of my Mom's friends (we'd been to see them once before, on our earlier trip through northern Washington).
Today, we spent a few hours there... and I got to have a ride in their Cessna 172! *___* Oooooh... it was exciting! :D I've never flown in a small plane like that, before... so before takeoff I was just this mass of jittery nerves. ^^; But once I was UP.... *__*
Absolutely beautiful. Very smooth flight -- only a little 'bumps', but nothing bad. And the scenery was GORGEOUS. *_* What with all the fall colours starting to pop up... and the forests, and the rivers and lake below. I really hope my photos turn out. ^.^ If I get any good ones, I'll put 'em up here.
