Musings on selling stuff

I'm mostly just rambling off the top of my head, here... but any input/suggestions would be helpful. ^_^; I have a bunch of stuff I'd like to sell -- manga, doujinshi, a few toys, and the like -- but I'm not sure where to sell it. c.c

I was considering EBay, going through a friend of mine, as I don't have an Ebay seller's account. It might be too complicated to work out, though. But it's still a possibility.

There's also the option of just selling the stuff here, off my journal. Perhaps make a few posts to a forum or two, directing them back here. I still won't 'reach' as many people as I would if I did sell on Ebay. ^^; People might/would be more willing to trust an Ebay sale, too, rather than some random person's journal. :/

Perhaps if I do eventually go through with the Ebay sales, whatever I don't sell there, I can throw up here. ^^; Or, conversely, list stuff I plan on selling here, first... to give my friends "first dibs" on anything they'd really want. XD

..... and semi-OT, I have a TON of duplicate trading cards I need to get rid of. @_x; Mostly random hockey cards, but a couple anime trading cards, too. I eventually hope to get a webpage built, on all the cards I have, what I'm looking for, and what extras I'm willing to sell/trade. Anyone out there also collect trading cards? ^_^;

From what I've seen of Ebay (since recently I've become an Ebay nut) it shouldn't be that hard to sell something on your own. Why not set up your own account?

But I do agree that maybe selling things through the journal may be the quickest and easiest way to go. That way, you can control who buys something if they're not really someone you trust.

To sell on Ebay, you need a credit card. I don't have a credit card, nor do I want to get a credit card. That "limits" me in some respects, yes, but that's my choice. ^^;

I think the sale-through-journal first is a good idea. I'm gonna go with that. ^_^; Now just to organize stuffs. c.c;
