As the title says, was at the PNE today. :3 (for those that don't know, that stands for "Pacific National Exhibition". It's a yearly fair held in Vancouver, that had it's roots, and still has a strong base in agriculture... but has branched off to include Playland [rides], vendors of all sorts, musical performances, and other events - some that change each year, some that are 'staples' of the PNE) Asked for the day off work, so Mom and I could go today, instead of tomorrow (which will likely be crowded, as well as giving us both a 'day of rest'. heh)

Anyway, tons of fun! Always like going to the PNE. :3 Got our Whales' Tail -- a flat/pan bread sort of thing, with cinnamon and sugar on top -- YUMMY! :9 Then saw the horse jumping at the Agrodome; cool. :D Wandered around the animals stalls, next; the baby animals were so cuuuute! *__* The little ducks were amusing. XD One would go eat, the rest would allllll follow and eat too. He'd go around the little pool to get a drink of water? The others allllll followed him to get a drink of water, too. He goes back to the food... yup. The others alll follow him back to the food. XD There were even tiny baby bunnies this year! So tiny! Tiny little ears and tiny little paws. *__* Wandered around the Marketplace next, and bought some Aunt Marge's fudge -- double yummy there. X3 Listened to Dal Richard's for a bit, as we were going from place-to-place. ^_^

I decided to go on the Coaster this year; I usually don't go on rides -- partly getting too expensive, partly because I have no one to go around and go on the rides with. It's more fun to go on the rides at Playland with a friend. ^_^; Decided to go on one, though, this year. The Coaster is a classic ride (a wooden, outdoors roller coaster built in 1958), though. I'd only been on it once before, YEARS ago... and I'm generally not a big roller coaster fan (I adamantly refuse to go on any ride that goes upside down!) but... the Coaster is a classic, and almost unique, now, in Canada (and in North America on the whole, I think). On the drops, my butt was rising up from the seat. @__X;; Oi. I kept a death-grip on the restraining bar and the side of the car. ^^;; Dizzy, but fun. heh. I'm not a roller-coaster-goer, I guess. ^^; Shaky legs. x___x

Grabbed some food to eat, next, and saw more horse jumping, then went to a magic show. Amusing. :) Got a gelato ice cream :9 then waited in line to see the PNE prize home. Very different as compared to other years. Smaller; it basically was all on one level. Still very nice, though. Finished up the day by quickly looking around the display of Taiwanese lanterns; gorgeous! There were two lit-and-beaded peacock lanterns there. It took the lady that made them two years to complete them.

Didn't go see the Superdogs this year. Ah well. :/ I enjoy watching the Superdogs, but mom's so-so on them, and it WAS 7pm by this point (and we didn't know when the next show was, either). We were starting to fade, so it was definately time to come home. (The man that used to emcee/host the Superdogs retired last year; don't know what the guy who hosts the show now is like)
