One Piece 599

uftakiGorgeous, GORGEOUS weather outside today! Warm, clear blue sunny skies... Went downtown for a bit, enjoyed it... Mild... Took a few photos. Just so very, very nice! ^____^ *delighted sigh* We've just had WONDERFUL weather here the past WEEK! :3 Such a nice start to October. :D
Thoughts on reading chapter 599... More rambling AHOY!
Hancock seems to be picking up on Luffy's goofiness. Fake nose + mustache? Really? XD And still mistaking things for "proposals". *lol*
.... And Luffy just CALMLY haki's the whole buncha 'em, an' keeps on walking. xD Nice. X3
Sunny looks all smooth and shiny with whatever this special "coating" thing is. Robin said it was kind of like a 'jelly' all over the ship. So... it's kind of like a bubble-wrapping, all over the ship, then? It was sweet seeing Robin talking to Sunny, saying she was glad Sunny was alright. :3
And yeah, Franky is HUGE, looks way more robotic, less like a human now (in the arms, at least; square on bottom, spheres up top). I mean... REALLY. His arms are now the full size of his height. @__X; He still pulls off his "Supaaaaaaaaaaaa!" pose. xD ... His clothes are still the same, too. xD (I'll still miss his 'swoop' hairstyle. Ah well).
... Chopper is STILL mistaking the Fakehats for the real Strawhats, but at least he ran off, away from them, with their indifference to "Robin's" kidnapping. ^.^; But now the Marines are all thinking the Fakehats are the real thing, too... So Sentomaru's still hanging around there, huh? I'm sure he'd be able to tell the difference between the two, once he finally sees these Fakehats everyone's panicking about. XD
*snickersnicker* Sanji, talking to a fisherman that had run across Zoro (wanting to go fishing)... avoided directly answering the question if Zoro was his 'friend' (and WHY does he keep Zoro's -- and presumably the rest of all their bounty posters -- on him?) (he learns here, too, that Zoro's only got one eye, now.) Then finds out Zoro got on the WRONG ship, a pirate one that was coated and going down to Fishman Island. Zoro's directional sense definitely hasn't changed. X3 Sanji pretty much says "should'a expected this from him..." and then just goes back to continuing his own business. XD Then the pirate ship re-surfaces, cut completely in two, Zoro grumbling about getting on the wrong ship. Sanji making a point to point out that he does not care that Zoro came back (suuuure, Sanji...). Zoro was speaking for a moment in a kinda funny, flowery way himself to the pirates ("angel of death"? Really?) Was this something he also picked up from Mihawk?
...and the scar was apparantly on the wrong side, in the colourspread on the last chapter. Here, Zoro's new scar is clearly over his left eye. And from the looks of things... yah. Looks like it permanently closes that eye. :( LOOKS cool, no doubt... and Zoro definitely will overcome any and all challenges, so I don't really forsee the lack of depth perception being a problem. But it must have been QUITE a shock when it first happened... and a sharp learning curve, for him to learn how to compensate.
.... That is, granted, IF such 'mundane' trivialities such as "depth perception" have any real weight or bearing on the One Piece world ANYWAY... xD *lols*
And Sanji's look is definitely growing on me, too. :) The change (as others) was a bit of a surprise and shock, especially after getting so used to seeing it the other way. It works to make him look older, though, and I am getting used to it all (save Franky's changes; I think it'll be some time before I'm used to THAT!)
...The pirate ship Zoro scuppered had a fox motif on the bow, and the sail. It doesn't look anything like the Foxy Pirates, but... I'm just wondering... Related somehow? Or just coincidence?
