Bold the movies you've seen.
1. Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs
2. Pinocchio
3. Fantasia
4. Dumbo - I always tear up at 'Baby Mine'. ;_;
5. Bambi
6. Saludos Amigos - saw this fairly only fairly recently. José is adorable. xD
7. The Three Caballeros - Fun and amusing. Though some bits of it? Hooo... XD Colourful, but craaaaaazy
8. Make Mine Music - I've seen clips, but never the full thing until recently.
9. Fun And Fancy Free - I loved Charlie McCarthy's deadpan snarking in this... XD
10. Melody Time - again, only clips, until recently
11. The Adventures Of Ichabod And Mr. Toad - saw the Ichabod half, but not the Mr. Toad half 'till recently.
12. Cinderella
13. Alice In Wonderland - to this day, whenever I see a crescent moon, when the lit part is towards the ground? I always call it a "Cheshire Cat moon"... from the grin of the Cheshire Cat in this movie. ^.^;
14. Peter Pan
15. Lady And The Tramp
16. Sleeping Beauty - this was so pretty to look at. *_* And I LOVE the background music. But one thing I never understood... why didn't Briar Rose wear shoes? In the forest? With roots and stones and twigs and all?! D:
17. 101 Dalmatians
18. The Sword In The Stone
19. The Jungle Book
20. The Aristocats
21. Robin Hood
22. The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh
23. The Rescuers
24. The Fox And The Hound
25. The Black Cauldron - I actually really liked this movie as a kid. ^_^; I still do, now. Might have also been the first one I ever saw in the theaters (as it didn't seem to get a VHS release for a long time... can't remember if they showed it on TV or not).
26. The Great Mouse Detective - Didn't see this in the theaters, I'm sure... but I've seen it a number of times since. Olivia is darling... and Basil is just so amusing, especially during the 'escape-being-splatted-trap' sequence. XD
27. Oliver & Company - Definately sure I saw this in theaters when it first came out. Always thought it was cute and fun. ^_^
28. The Little Mermaid - Wonderful wonderful music... sparked a resurgence of Disney's strength in their movies.
29. The Rescuers Down Under - I remember, when watching this in the theaters, they showed the new Mickey short "Prince and the Pauper" first... then they had an ... 10? minute intermission. For each 'minute' of the intermission, they played a different instrumental Disney song, and there was this "watch face" on-screen with a Mickey-gloved watch hand counting down the minutes. The last song, for the last couple of seconds, was the "trumpet fanfare" from The Little Mermaid. I don't know WHY I remember this, but I do. ^_^;
30. Beauty And The Beast
31. Aladdin
32. The Lion King
33. Pocahontas
34. The Hunchback Of Notre Dame
35. Hercules
36. Mulan - Mulan's such a wonderful, a-typical "female heroine". Compassionate, caring, yet strong and pro-active. :3
37. Tarzan
38. Fantasia 2000 - MUCH love for the Donald segement, plus "the Firebird". It's TOTALLY Mt. St. Helens! (even if Mt. St. Helens didn't have lava). Undeniably so. So, so pretty. *_* Rhapsody in Blue is very cute, too. xD
39. The Emperor's New Groove
40. Atlantis: The Lost Empire
41. Lilo And Stitch - I only finally watched this fairly recently, but I wish I'd seen it earlier, now... and in theaters. ^_^ It's so cute, and sweet!
42. Treasure Planet - Only saw this recently, too. It was amusing.
43. Brother Bear
44. Home On The Range Out of all of these, this was the one I was REALLY "meh" on, and don't want to make it a part of my collection. :/ Once was enough.
45. Chicken Little
46. Meet the Robinsons - and again, only saw it fairly recently... Got a bit confused on the quirky family side-characters... they were just there, and didn't do anything, but... still cute. ^_^;
47. Bolt - saw this in the theaters... Loved it! :D
Heh... yeah. As you might have noticed, they're all bolded. I've seen each and every one of these. ^_^; I love the Disney 'Classics/Masterpiece Collection/animated canon/whatever-you-want-to-call-it'. I've been collecting the movies for some time, now. When they started coming out in DVDs, I started switching most of my collection over from VHS tapes, to the DVDs [and picking up some that I hadn't seen before, eg: Lilo & Stich].
So most of these, I'd already seen many times over. However, before my trip to Disneyland in October of 2008, I wanted to do something special. I picked up a bunch of the other DVDs [Melody Time, Make Mine Music], or rented them [Home on the Range, Meet the Robinsons] if I wasn't sure I actually wanted to purchase the DVD. The reason why, is I wanted to be totally geeky, in the weeks/months coming up to the trip... and (with my mom), watch all of the movies in chronological order before we left. [well, save for 'Bolt', which wasn't out yet xD] And guess what? We DID. X3
I'm wondering if I shouldn't add non-animated Disney movies to this. eg: Mary Poppins, Bednobs and Broomsticks, Pete's Dragon, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Tron, Flight of the Navigator, Splash (Touchstone Pictures counts!) The Absent-Minded Professor, Pollyanna (these latter two a loooooong time ago on TV), the Incredible Journey, Homeward Bound, One Magic Christmas, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Cool Runnings, the Mighty Ducks (yes, yes... I saw that c__c;), Enchanted... etc etc and so on... I wonder if I should add Pixar's movies to the list, too? xD
